Make Matcha Cake with Joyoung Pressure Cooker

Green tea powder, aka matcha and maccha, is the soul of green tea cake. If you want to make good green tea cake, you have to use good quality green tea powder. I’m now happy with my recipe. I hope you like it too.

Matcha Cake


5 eggs

40ml fresh milk

180 g low gluten flour


15 g Green tea powder

1 g Salt

160 g white sugar

Make Matcha Cake with Joyoung Pressure Cooker

1. Add 5 whole egg, salt and white sugar, whisk to dense state.

2. Add low gluten flour and baking powder, stir evenly to a thick paste.

3. Add the cream into the slightly cooled green tea milk, mix they well. Pour them into the batter, mix again.

4. Apply the cream in the pot, press “Stew”  to choose the “Cake”, and press “Start” to preheat.

5. Open the cover after preheating, pour the batter into the pot, cover the pot.

6. After the completion of the inverted buckle out of the cake, let the cake cool. Collocation fruit or fresh cream with more flavor.

Instant Pot Recipe-Hawaiian Teriyaki Beef Short Ribs

Beef is one of the people like to eat food in the world, second only to pork. Beef protein content is high, and low in fat, so delicious, loved, have the laudatory title of “flesh of spoiled child”. Make some tasty short ribs around 30 minutes with Instant Pot Programmable Pressure cooker.

Teriyaki Beef Short Ribs


4 large beef short ribs

1 cup of water

3/4 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup tightly packed brown sugar

1 large orange, halved

1 head of garlic, separated, peeled and crushed

1 piece of fresh ginger, about the size of 1/2 a deck of cards, peeled, sliced and crushed

1 bunch of green onions, chopped

2 fresh Thai firecracker peppers, chopped


1. Mix water, soya sauce and sugar in a large bowl. Stir\mix until the sugar is dissolved.

2. Squeeze the juice from the halved orange in to the mix and stir\mix.

3. Slice the orange in to pieces and put in the mixture.

4. Add the garlic, ginger root, green onions and chilli peppers in the mixture and stir\mix thoroughly.

5. Put in the ribs and stir\mix together.

6. Marinate to taste, no less than 4 hours.

7. Heat a small about of oil to medium-high heat in a large skillet and add beef short ribs. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.

8. Place beef short ribs in the Instant Pot IP-DUO60 Pressure Cooker and add the liquid mixture. Lock lid in place, choose the meat\stew setting and cook for 30 minutes. 

9. Serve with sticky rice. Enjoy it.

Instant Pot Recipe – Filipino Chicken Adobo

Chicken Adobo is an authentic Filipino dish and is one of the mostly recognized Filipino foods. This Chicken Adobo Recipe is the simplest that you can get at Home with instant pot.



  • 4 -5 lbs. chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. black peppercorns
  • 3 bay leaves


1) Set your Instant Pot to the Poultry setting and add the chicken and all ingredients. You do not have to sauté anything.

2) Close the lid, and cook for 15 minutes. You can do whatever you like during this period because it will let you know when it’s done.

You can also use chicken breasts but I would use a mixture of drumstick, thighs, breasts with bone in it. It’s important to know the cooking times for this in the instant pot.

I’ve been making Beef at least twice a month because it’s simple and delicious—and because the kids’ll actually eat it.

My trusty stovetop pressure cookers have been workhorses in my kitchen for some time now, but I recently treated myself to an Instant Pot IP-LUX because I’d read so many great things about this electric programmable multi-cooker.

And now, I’m totally crushing on my Instant Pot. I love that I can make bone broth at a moment’s notice without having to babysit it like a stove-top pressure cooker. Also, the sauté function lets me brown aromatics or meat right in the pot before I throw in the rest of the ingredients.

Coca Cola Chicken Wings Recipe

My favorite coca cola chicken wings ! coca cola, one of my favorite drinks, I do not remember whey coca cola becomes a sauce of cooking meat in China but the fact is that Coca Cola is quite popular in China nowadays. And since coca cola chicken wings become popular, we get more dished cooked with this sweet drinks such as coca cola ribs etc. The slight sweet taste bought by the drink can spare other condiments and seasoning, which makes this as one of the simplest recipe. Now let’s start Coca Cola Chicken Wings with the Electric Pressure Cooker!!

Chinese Tea Eggs – electric pressure cooker recipe

Tea eggs is one of Chinese traditional snacks, most of the country have the snacks. Tea eggs are added during cooking tea, making tasty egg, its approach is simple. In China, the railway stations, streets, crowded places are selling tea eggs, egg is very inexpensive.  We can do this in just 30 minutes using the pressure cooker! If you like, you can hard boil eggs for this recipe following the  pressure steaming method.


Chinese Tea Eggs – electric pressure cooker recipe

Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 29 mins
Total time: 34 mins


3 Eggs, Hard-boiled and cooled
¼ cup soy sauce
1 Lemon, zested
2 teabags, Chinese Black Tea
1 Tbsp. Cloves (the spice)
1 Tbsp. Black Pepper Corns
1 Tbsp. Juniper Berries
2 Bay Laurel Leaves


  • Crack the exterior of the shell of the hard-boiled egg by tapping them with the back of a teaspoon and set aside.
  • In a separate pan, or your heat-proof interior container, add all of the ingredients with a cup of water except for the soy sauce.
  • Bring to a boil, then add the soy sauce eggs and any additional water to cover. Cover with tin foil.
  • Prepare your pressure cooker by adding one cup of water, and the steamer basket.
  • Carefully lower the container into the pressure cooker.
  • Close the top of your pressure cooker and set the pressure to “low”, then raise the heat to maximum until it reaches pressure. Lower the heat and start counting 20 minutes cooking time at LOW pressure.
  • When the time is up, turn off the flame and move the pot to a different burner and open with the Natural Release Method.
  • Remove the lid, and tin foil and let cool further if you wish. Serve for your guests to peel!
